    Gen Z: Digital Generation

The Latest research from Youth for Christ

    Gen Z: Digital Generation

In 2017, Youth for Christ launched the research project ‘Generation Z: Rethinking Culture’, which revealed that, aside from spending time with friends in person, young people’s third favourite place to be was online. This led us to ask: What would it look like for young people to encounter Jesus in the digital space?

To explore this further, in September 2018, we surveyed 1,000 young people aged 11-18 across the Britain. This research—‘Gen Z: The Digital Generation’—examined their perspectives and habits around digital media, particularly their daily use of social media and YouTube and the impact these platforms have on their lives. The findings have sparked insightful discussions about how to engage this digital generation in meaningful ways.
