Here are some questions to get you thinking about what it means to be generous:

Have you ever had a hard time sharing something you really love?

Would you describe yourself as a generous person?

Who in your life would you describe as a generous person? How are they generous?

Has anyone ever been generous to you? How did it make you feel?

How can you be generous to people in your life?

PRAY:

Here is a prayer activity to get you praying on the theme of ‘Generosity’:

Take some time to sit and reflect for 5 minutes on the different areas of your life where you are generous, and other areas or people where maybe you’re not as much.

Get a sheet of paper and divide the page in half.

On one side write down areas where you find hard to be generous, or people you find it hard to be generous to.

On the other side write down areas or people you find easy to be generous to.

Then take 5 minutes to pray and ask God whether He would want any of that to change, and if so, how?

DO:

Here is activity you can do to help you engage with this week’s theme of ‘Generosity’:

Get a sheet of paper and a pen.

Draw around your hands and write your name inside them.

As you look at your hands, think of how you can give more generously in your life with what you have.

On each finger of the hand write down one way you can show generosity.

Reflect on which ideas you can put into action today, this week or this month (e.g. spending time helping someone, letting someone borrow your things etc).

Set yourself generosity goals.
